Curling Gets the Hi-Def Treatment

If it is considered a sport, chances are itll be on TV. Somewhere. The inaugural Casino Rama Curling Skins Game airs live in high definition Dec. 8 and 9 in three, 3-hour telecasts on TSN and TSN HD. It is the first North American-based curling tournament to be produced and televised in HD in order to show the polished detail of the curling stone and the pristine cleanliness of the scrubbed ice.

The Casino Rama Curling Skins Game is an annual all-Canadian event, and Casino Rama has built a curling rink exclusively for it in its 5,000-seat Entertainment Centre, marking the first time a Canadian casino has staged a curling event, even though the two seem a natural fit.

TSN's necessary curling broadcast team includes Vic Rauter doing the play-by-play alongside analyst and former Brier champion Ray Turnbull and analyst and Olympic gold medalist Linda Moore.
