Veteran TV Trade journalist John M. Higgins died Monday night in a New Jersey hospital from a heart attack. He was 45.
Higgins was the business editor at Broadcasting & Cable magazine in New York. He'd been there since 1997, after working at B&C sister publication Multichannel News for eight years. Many people knew Higgins as a tough but fair journalist and a quintessential authority on the business of television.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Marrone, an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission.
