Norwegian media company A-pressen has installed ON-AIR Systems' playKast automated playout system across its television stations as part of an upgrade. The order was placed via ON- AIR's local dealer VideoUtstyr.
Files ingested and edited on Avid Liquid transferred in MPEG format to playKast which creates the daily playlists for the TV stations. Playlists include overlay graphics for branding, control of routers for live event management, and specialised recording of the live feeds.
Four channels are now broadcasting, and A-pressen is in the process of developing XML-based news feeds which will be enhanced by a direct feed of an internet radio station for background music.
