Ken Adelson, NBA Entertainment's senior vice president of production operations and planning, will be the keynote speaker at the Sports Media and Technology Conference at the C4-Sports Technology Conference and Exposition, July 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Adelson's presentation, "The Challenges of Capturing, Editing, Distribution and Storage of Sports Media," will discuss the end-to-end process of managing, storing, sharing, and delivering sports media to multiple distribution outlets -- all on the digital platform.
Adelson has been a driving force in NBA Entertainment's push into digital media in production, distribution and archiving. NBA Entertainment (NBAE) tapped Silicon Graphics (SGI) to assist in building its new digital platform, which utilizes SGI InfiniteStorage system.
The Sports Media and Technology Conference is presented by Future Media Concepts and includes two full days of training on the topics of facility management, creative content creation, and next-generation distribution. It also features case study presentations by industry leaders and experts.
