Acoustical consulting organization elects Russ Berger as president

Russ Berger, president of Russ Berger Design Group, has been elected president of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC). He begins a two-year term as president following a long history of board participation. Berger’s duties will include supervising all affairs of the council as well as serving as an ambassador for the consulting profession. The NCAC is an international organization committed to promoting the applied science of acoustics, acting as a resource to the public to help match the appropriate consultant to each project.

One of Berger’s priorities as president is educating those new to the industry. “I am particularly excited about building on the excellent relationship NCAC member firms enjoy with higher education, and expanding our commitment to supporting meaningful academic programs in acoustics, architecture, engineering and design.”

With more than 30 years in the industry, Berger has lent his signature sound to some of the top recording and broadcast studios across the country. His designs include Whitney Houston’s personal studio, NFL Films and NFL Network, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and Sony Music NY. He is considered one of the acoustical pioneers in the green revolution, developing some of the first LEED-certified studio spaces for Circle R Media, Sweetwater Studios and the University of Las Vegas.
