QNI will standardize on Avid news production solutions at:

  • WQOW-TV, Eau Claire, WI;
  • WAOW-TV, Wausau, WI;
  • WXOW-TV, La Crosse, WI;
  • WREX-TV, Rockford, IL;
  • WGEM-TV, Quincy, IL;
  • WSJV-TV, South Bend, IN;
  • WVVA-TV, Bluefield, WV;
  • KTIV-TV, Sioux City, IA;

QNI will install the Avid Unity LANshare for News system with other Avid solutions for ingest, editing, playout and newsroom automation. These products include AirSpeed, NewsCutter XP, iNEWS, Avid MediaManager and iNEWS ControlAir.

The group expects to complete the implementation by the first quarter of 2006. QNI's WKOW-TV in Madison, WI, is a current iNEWS customer and plans to convert the rest of its newsroom to an all-Avid digital environment at a later date.
