EVS wins contracts at TVE, Belgacom and BeTV

EVS has won three new studio contracts for TV production equipment and playout servers. Three European broadcasters have chosen EVS products to introduce tapeless technology in their studio, including TVE in Spain and Belgacom TV and BeTV in Belgium.

TVE, Spanish national public television, has selected EVS hardware and software solutions to digitize the production process in its News Operation Center based in Madrid. TVE ordered three 6-channel XT (2) servers to be delivered with the EVS AirBox Software Application controlling ingest and playout process on the servers.

BeTV, the former Canal+, has won the retransmission rights for matches in the UEFA Champions League. The new contract caused BeTV to order six XT (2) production and playout servers in Multicam mode, bringing their total of EVS servers to nine in their studios located in Brussels and Charleroi, Belgium. Additionally, BeTV ordered two XStore storage and gateway platforms, two IP Directors and one CleanEdit NLE workstation.

Belgacom TV, now offering the Belgian market digital television through ADSL line (IPTV), has selected EVS servers and related applications for its new production studios. Belgacom opted for eight XT (2) production and playout servers either controlled by the Multicam LSM or the AirBox Software Applications, as well as one XStore with CleanEdit NLE and MediaXchange.
