WideOrbit Upgrades TV Traffic and Billing System

Bay-area-based WideOrbit has released version 3.2 of its WO Station, a multi-channel, multi-station, TV traffic, sales and billing software system for the broadcast and cable industry.

WO Station 3.2 lets broadcasters operate hubs, centralize databases for real-time group reporting, operate duopolies without incremental traffic and support staffing or operate a single, stand-alone broadcast station as well as enabling up to 99 HDTV channels, cable channels or remote feeds per station on a group multi-station database. Features from previous versions include Advertiser Profiles, Station Blueprints, Market Blueprints, Revenue Reports and Accounting Management tools.

More than 20 broadcast TV stations, including those owned by Liberty Corp., McGraw Hill, Meredith and the New York Times are running on the WO Station, with another 35 stations and two cable networks with contracts for installation in 2003.
