Vizrt to Introduce Curious Maps Clients and Viz Quattro

Norway-based Vizrt will unveil its Viz Curious Maps Clients mapping software Version 8.0, a template-based software solution to create branded maps and geographic animations at NAB. The templates can be accessed through Viz Trio character generation software and the Viz Content Pilot workflow solution for journalists.

In this new version, Viz Curious Maps performs as both a creation tool and server platform. Users can seamlessly create branded, animated maps and add them to graphic templates or directly to a 3D scene.

Another enhancement in its labeling feature lets journalists or operators separate labels that were too close together to be read, such as on a U.S. map of the East Coast where labels for New York and New Jersey may otherwise overlap.

Other improvements to Version 8.0 support unlimited camera movements through animations within the map, enriched handling of map layers, and a map template design function to automatically show the terrain of a particular area.

Another new Vizrt product debut at NAB is the Viz Quattro solution for creating fully animated graphics containing multiple videos from a single desktop interface. Viz Quattro was developed as an extension to Vizrt’s Viz Content Pilot content management and Viz Trio character generator to access Vizrt’s Media Asset Management solutions.

By integrating graphic workflow solutions such as Viz Content Pilot with video asset management solutions like Viz Video Hub, Viz Quattro extends the HD and SD channel branding by adding videos on top of the current images and 3D elements.

Vizrt will be at Booths SL4805, R129.
