Teranex Inc. recently introduced StarFilm, an SD/HD noise-reduction system.
StarFilm incorporates advanced algorithms for grain removal, dirt concealment, noise reduction and aperture correction for SD and HD material. It allows the user to work with NTSC or PAL material, or HD 1080p 23-, 24- or 25-frame film-based material in the same platform. The SD and HD modes share the same user interface and control architecture.
StarFilm runs on Teranex's real-time digital video platform with unique processor-per-pixel technology. Users are able to add new features and functions through a software upgrade.
