TelVue, Blonder Tongue Labs Partner in Video Storage Project

Two New Jersey companies, TelVue Corp. and Blonder Tongue Laboratories, have agreed to participate in the joint development of digital video storage devices.

TelVue, which is based in Mt. Laurel, N.J., said that when the products are marketed they will carry the Blonder Tongue name. The Blonder Tongue is located in Old Bridge, N.J.

“Blonder Tongue has been a New Jersey based technology developer and equipment manufacturer for more than 58 years,” said Joseph Murphy, TelVue president and CEO. “TelVue is thrilled to be providing advanced digital video storage technology that will quickly find its way into Blonder Tongue’s expanding portfolio of digital video products.”

The first product to be developed and marketed by the two firms is an MPEG-2 content scheduler. It has been given the DVS-400 model designation and will provide customers a means for quickly storing and broadcasting content via local television channels, or on analog or digital cable outlets.
