Telegeneve, Geneva’s cable operator, has selected Thales’ SmartVision TV Service Platform for the delivery of video on demand (VOD) and live interactive services via an IP/FTTH network.
The company provides residential users with 20 live TV programs, on-demand videos and interactive services, with an EPG.
The offering is based on Thales’ SmartVision TV Solution, and includes:
- SmartVision Service Platform, to manage an end-to-end system dedicated to the transport of on-demand, live programs and multimedia content over a high-speed network.
- TOPAZ VOD, dedicated to the simultaneous capture and streaming of live and recorded TV and radio programs over a broadband network
- Set-top boxes
The SmartVision TV Solution allows Telegeneve to centralize management. Content provisioning, digital rights management, and user terminal database administration are managed through a Web administration interface.
