Studio Berlin Adlershof is working on the successor to its OB-5 van, a fully HD-capable OB-6 truck equipped with versatile Synapse equipment, which will be used for TV-productions, sports and entertainment events.
The first major sporting event to be is covered by this OB-van will be the FIFA Football World Cup in Germany.
OB-6, which will support up to 27 cameras, is 54ft long and has expanding sides up to 14.5ft wide. Similar to the OB-5, it is to be fully equipped with Axon Synapse equipment, including HD-converting, embedding and distribution amplifier modules, as well as frame synchronizers, color correctors and bi-directional aspect ratio converters.
