Shotoku CMC-400 extends life of pan-tilt heads

Shotoku Broadcast System has introduced the CMC-400 camera controller designed to extend the useful life of pan-and-tilt heads by integrating them with current Shotoku systems.

The CMC-400 series uses industry-standard processing hardware that makes future maintenance more secure. The series features the same network and RS-422 control connections as the rest of the range and offers the new Resilient Network Interface (RNI) option.

The controller interfaces with other manufacturers' pan-and-tilt heads by directly accessing the existing motor and potentiometer connectors. Outputs for Shotoku lens drives, direct lens servo control and height drives are included as standard.

Depending on the type of the head used, the CMC-400 series can either be mounted directly to the side of the head using the same mountings as the existing head control unit, or may be wall mounted using the brackets supplied.
