Rycote has launched the S-series, a lightweight suspension and windscreen system. The Gloucestershire, UK-based company’s new system delivers wind suppression while enhancing usability.
Composed of a one-piece web suspension made of durable, lightweight plastic, the design eliminates the need for elastics and is engineered to fit all diameters of microphone from 19mm to 25mm.
A pinch release allows the user to change the position of the suspension quickly. The windscreen itself features a twist-lock system attaching it to the chassis ring for quick, easy release, and the acoustic fur covering provides greater than 30dB wind suppression with no drop in performance.
