Network Electronics' selected "ConQuer" as the label of its new "digital glue" line after holding a naming contest.
The ConQuer line includes analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog video, audio converters, embedders, de-embedders, audio muxers, framestores, line-synchronizers and audio delays.
After Network Electronics introduced a "Name Network's New Family" contest at IBC 2002 in Amsterdam, the company collected around 1,000 suggestions in a competition for a first prize of 1,000 euros. ConQuer prevailed because Network Electronics decided it best reflected "the positive and spirited tenets of the company."
