By TVTechnology published
New Vision Television has acquired four Quantel Newsbox HD server-based news production systems — one each for KOIN, its CBS affiliate in Portland, OR; WJCL, its ABC affiliate in Savannah, GA; KSNW, its NBC affiliate in Wichita, KS; and KSNT, its NBC affiliate in Topeka, KS.
New Vision chose the Quantel server solution after an 18-month evaluation process. Depending on the market, the Newsbox HD systems will be accompanied by a number of connected desktop editing applications, including sQ View, sQ Cut and sQ Edit as well as sQ Record and sQ Play ingest and playout applications.
