Metadata Origination Systems (M.O.S.) has launched a new system for metadata origination, collection and tracking while working on production locations.
The system, introduced at NAB2007, is comprised of the M.O.S. MONSTER, a server that sits quietly on the set and gathers metadata generated during the production process, from project information to status of the camera and lens on every frame.
Once the metadata has been gathered, the M.O.S. TranScript combines it with shot information. The combined data is then immediately ready for real-time ingest to the Avid editing environment.
The complete system, with several components, eliminates dubs, delays and the need to make DVD copies of material.
