Link Research showcased the L1500, its second-generation SD/HD wireless camera transmitter, at IBC2007.
The L1500 is software-upgradeable so it can be supplied as SD and upgraded to be HD and SD when required. A variety of frequency modules are available so the L1500 will work in many countries. Transmission delay is about one frame, so wireless feeds can be used with cabled cameras.
The L1500 uses Link Research’s LMS-T modulation system, which increases data throughput by better use of channel bandwidth while also increasing link reliability through advanced LDPC error correction and improved interleaving. LMS-T delivers higher data rates with better resistance to burst interference and short duration fades. HD users can employ LMS-T to achieve contribution-quality wireless HD with the same robust signal integrity they have come to expect with SD.
