Linear Acoustic Unveils New Loudness Controller at IBC

Linear Acoustic is introducing its new Carbon Hybrid Metadata Loudness Controller at the IBC Show. The unit combines loudness control and audio encoding in a single package and works with any audio codec that supports metadata.

The Linear Acoustic Carbon accepts encoded or baseband PCM audio via AES/EBU or SD/HD SDI inputs and optionally supports audio processing at the transport stream level via DVB-ASI connections. It maximizes the effectiveness of metadata in the Dolby Digital (AC-3) system and allows broadcasters to control loudness while still preserving audio dynamic range.

Visitors to the Linear Acoustic stand should also look for other entries in the company’s complete line of audio processing technology.
