IBIS to Debut New Version of iFind Media Asset Management

At IBC2008, IBIS, a U.K.-based developer of newsroom and station control technology, will demonstrate new developments in its media asset management platforms.

IBIS (Integrated Broadcast Information Systems) will display MAM technology for news and sports production, distribution of media and archive in a multichannel and distributed environment. Visitors to the IBIS booth will be able to see a demonstration of an IBIS MAM system used to automatically bulk file ingest and export media between Sony’s XDCart and an Avid newsroom environment.

All IBIS systems run on the company’s “iFind,” a fully integrated production MAM platform. iFind Enterprise edition allows users to capture, create, manage, distribute and store metadata and media across the broadcast workflow. iFind also includes a Web services API to facilitate integration of third-party systems and applications.

At the show, IBIS will unveil Version 3 of iFind, which sports a new look and feel along with new search capabilities. In the IBIS booth, the company will demonstrate the new version using video and audio mining technologies from IBIS partner Aurix. Another new feature, iCode allows users to simultaneously transcode and transfer multiple formats transparently.

IBIS will be in Stand 7.D10.
