IABM honors Snell & Wilcox with Peter Wayne Award

Snell & Wilcox was honored with this year’s Peter Wayne Award by the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM) for its MXF Express and MXF Desktop products.

In its 15th year, the Peter Wayne Award is presented in conjunction with the IBC convention. Entries are accepted from any IBC exhibitor, not solely members of the IABM.

MXF Express software developer tools ensure interoperability among file-sharing products and systems through use of the MXF file format. MXF Desktop is a software-based MXF file player that brings MXF compatibility to any Windows PC desktop.

The IABM also awarded Abakus Scientific’s anamorphic lens assembly and Thomson Grass Valley’s LDK6200HD Super Slo-Mo camera with the Recognition of Excellence awards.

Thirty-five companies from four continents entered this year’s competition. David Bradshaw from The Digital Television Group (DTG) chaired the eight-member panel of judges.
