Harris develops transmission solution for Chinese digital/mobile TV standard
By TVTechnology published
Harris has debuted its first transmission solution for the DMB-T standard, which has been adopted by the People’s Republic of China for both digital and mobile broadcasting applications.
The transmitter comes outfitted with the company’s new DTV600 DMB-T exciter, based on the Harris Atlas range of DVB-T standard exciters. It also features a new modulator designed specifically for DMB-T broadcasting.
Harris’ Atlas DVB-T transmitters can be upgraded to the DMB-T standard with a board swap and some firmware changes. To that end, the company is providing upgrade kits for Harris DVB-T transmitters currently installed in the Republic of China.
