At the NAB2006 Broadcast Engineering Conference, several industry experts from Grass Valley will present real-world case studies in mobile video applications and how to build out an infrastructure capable of broadcasting audio and video via the DVB-H terrestrial transmission standard to portable devices.
Among the DVB-H presentations at the NAB2006 Broadcast Engineering Conference are:
- “Delivering Television to Handheld Devices: A Technology Tutorial,” 2- 2:30 p.m., April 24, at LVCC Room S227. The IEEE/BTS track will include a paper entitled “Using Broadcast Standards for Handheld Devices: A DVB-H System Architecture” presented by Brett Jenkins.
- “Viewers on the Move,” 11:30 a.m. – noon April 25 at LVCC Room S221. Richard Lhermitte and Jean Macher will jointly present “Bringing Video Content to Wireless Subscribers: the Need for a Mobile TV Service Platform.”
