The Grass Valley Group recently released three new products in its Digital News Production Solution for use by news personnel in editing and producing video clips for broadcast.
The NewsShare shared storage system enables journalists to simultaneously view and edit feeds and edit the same material in different bays at the same time. Users can start work on a sequence in one edit bay and switch it to another if so desired. The system provides scalability, real-time performance and easy integration with other Grass Valley news systems.
The NewsBrowse browsing system can be used to look through, assemble and save shots, video clips and sequences from a desktop PC. It is designed to speed up news production and streamline the newsroom workflow.
The NewsEdit LT nonlinear editor works from a laptop for use by journalists in the field. It combines cuts-only edit bay capabilities, traditional A/B Roll Suite functions and a networked design.
All three products will be shown at NAB2002.
