Encoda Targets Smaller Broadcasters for Automation

The D-Series automation system from Encoda Systems now has a version aimed at smaller broadcasters or for facilities that now have a few channels, but expect to grow. Modeled after Encoda's A7000 D-Series, the smaller D-Series product provides the ability to control playout, automatic caching and system-wide alarm management.

Core components of the D-Series include systems for content and delivery management, ingest and media preparation, and a graphical user interface. The system uses Encoda's frame-accurate, real-time technology and has interfaces to all the company's currently supported devices.

The new D-Series product can be upgraded to handle up to 1,000 on-air channels.
