Digital Rapids to encode content for IBC TVNews and Mobile Zone

Digital Rapids will provide the StreamZ 1500xs SD encoder running StreamEnterprise 2.0 software as part of its support to IBC TV News’ Web streaming service.

Digital Rapids will provide encoding and Web streaming services for this year’s IBC TV News.

Along with partners, datmedia, Digital Rapids will be responsible for encoding and delivering news stories to the site, both as daily packages and up-to-the-minute Web exclusives.

In association with the IBC Mobile Zone, Digital Rapids will also be responsible for encoding selected stories to 3gp and MP4 formats which will be available for download to mobile devices.

Digital Rapids will provide one of its latest SD encoders, the StreamZ 1500xs, running StreamEnterprise 2.0 software.

Stories will be fed live via SDI from the IBC TV News edit suites and encoded in real time to Windows and Real media formats. The Stream encoding software will then automatically transfer the files — via FTP or the company’s new Copper data transfer system — to be hosted by datmedia servers.
