At IBC2007, Dielectric Communications will introduce the Broadband CP Panel Antenna, a high-power, circularly polarized UHF antenna.
The new antenna is available in a variety of power levels up to 16kW and covers the entire lower 700MHz band. It uses multilayer parasitic patch technology (MPPT) developed by Dielectric that allows the antenna to transmit a high-power, circularly polarized signal, which traditionally has been available only from a narrow-band array. The antenna features a low windload and VSWR of less than 1.1:1.
The company also will showcase its new Broadband Omni CP Pylon Antenna, offering a less complex solution for broadcasters using the lower 700MHz band. By using a third of the radiators, feed system and connections typically used in a panel-style antenna, the new Broadband Omni CP Pylon Antenna provides increased reliability in a self-supporting, pylon-style format.
