Crawford Communications acquires STARLINK
Crawford Communications has acquired the assets of STARLINK, a satellite uplink truck company near Chattanooga, TN. The acquisition adds a C-band, Ku-band and C/Ku-band hybrid to its existing fleet.
STARLINK’s former owners, Chuck and Kathy Chappelle, as well as operators Tim McCormick and Ron Beasley will stay on with the company.
Crawford now operates 14 Ku-band, two Ku-band/production, one C/Ku-band hybrid and seven C-band satellite uplink trucks. The recent build-out of Crawford's maintenance facility at its headquarters in Atlanta and the acquisition of STARLINK's existing facility in Chattanooga have increased maintenance throughput and decreased downtime of its fleet.
