Following its acquisition of Axis Graphics earlier this year, Chyron is launching its online division at NAB, expanding beyond its core broadcast markets to include nonbroadcast clients such as newspapers, radio stations, mobile phone and digital media producers and anyone producing content for the Internet.
Chyron Online enables the production and management of high-quality graphics integrated with content simply through the use of an Internet connection and a Web browser. Some of the features include:
- FastMaps, an online mapping system created specifically for television news producers and those in other media. From street-level maps to international maps, the system allows anyone in a newsroom get a map on the air quickly and easily.
- FastQuotes incorporates existing or new graphics packages to give broadcasters, Webcasters and anyone needing near real-time quotes the ability to instantly build stock market charts from HD to Web insert.
- FastCharts allows reporters, producers and directors the ability to create HD quality bar qraphs and pie chart with a Web browser using data from almost anywhere.
- FastWX, a suite of integrated Web-based graphics tools that allows producers to build regional weather maps, five-day forecasts and much more. As its name implies, FastWX is for Breaking News and weather, be it for broadcast, radio or Webcasts.
