At NAB2007, Broadcast Microwave Services will feature the BMS Central DeCoder II, a stable analog/digital central receive site solution that's easily integrated and operates with a wide variety of central receive site and mobile antenna configurations.
The CRS-DCII enables continuous operator-free use while remaining a fully functional remote receive site. The unit automatically detects and adjusts both COFDM and MPEG-2 transmission parameters, data rate, modulation, guard interval, code rate, GOP structure and bandwidth pedestal.
The Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) is designed to be used with an optional external low-noise amplifier at the antenna. The unit contains both COFDM/MPEG decoding and analog FM demodulation.
The unit is HD capable with the use of an external HD encoder using the ASI transport stream.
