Aviom spotlights Pro64 audio networking system at NAB2007

Aviom, developer of A-Net audio transport technology, used NAB2007 to spotlight several new products in its Pro64 Series of audio networking products. The product line represents a dramatic departure from the way audio is transported for broadcast and other applications. Aviom is now shipping the 6416i Input Module, the 6416o Output Module, the MH10 Merger Hub and the ASI A-Net Systems Interface. The firm also showed the new 6416 Digital I/O Module, which will ship this summer, and the Pro64 Mic Input Module, to be delivered later this year.

Pro64 products deliver the flexibility of a digital network, combined with the audio performance and simplicity of an analog wire. All Pro64 products deliver audio with super-low latency via Aviom's A-Net audio transport protocol. Because Pro64 products are designed from the ground up for audio networking, they break through the inherent limitations of Ethernet in terms of fidelity, performance and flexibility.

Every Aviom Pro64 system is a network designed specifically to deliver optimal performance in distributing multiple channels of audio to as many locations as desired. This means that a Pro64 system can distribute audio without being restricted by the physical locations of inputs and outputs or the direction of the signal flow. In auto mode, up to 64 channels (24b, 48kHz) are distributed throughout the entire network. Channels can be input anywhere in the system and output everywhere, regardless of network topology and layout.
