Audio-Technica introduces 1800 Series camera-mount wireless

Audio-Technica has announced the introduction of its 1800 Series Dual-Channel Camera-Mount UHF wireless systems. With UHF reception of 996 frequencies that are user-selectable in 25kHz steps, the new 1800 Series provides extremely flexible, professional and easy-to-use portable wireless solutions.

Designed for broadcasters and videographers needing a system for simultaneous operation of two microphones, the 1800 Series systems include the ATW-R1820 dual receiver. Ergonomically designed for easy camera mounting, this compact and rugged dual-channel receiver provides two balanced outputs, allowing the two signals to be mixed or separately assigned. Independent audio level controls provide flexible audio mixing and monitoring possibilities.

The 1800 Series offers a choice of bodypack and plug-on transmitters. The ATW-T1801 UniPak bodypack transmitter features a professional locking four-pin connector compatible with all Audio-Technica Wireless Essentials microphones, while the ATW-T1802 plug-on transmitter uses a locking XLR connector for adapting dynamic and condenser microphones. Both are powered with two AA batteries and offer selectable high and low transmission modes to conserve battery life while maximizing power.

Additional 1800 Series features include automatic frequency scanning, Tone Lock squelch, backlit LCD, soft-touch buttons, headphone monitor output with independent level control and durable metal construction. System components of the 1800 Series and 3000 Series wireless systems can be used interchangeably depending on frequency selection.
