Audio-Technica Holding Lavalier, Surround Seminars

Audio veterans Dennis Baxter and Fred Ginsburg will share their knowledge in a series of seminars at the Audio-Technica booth at the NAB Show.

At 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 20-22, Ginsburg, a specialist in production sound recording for motion pictures and video, will present seminars on the placement and use of lavalier microphones. Ginsburg is a distinguished member of the Cinema Audio Society with nearly two decades as a sound mixer on feature films, episodic TV and commercials, and for corporate and government applications. He’s on the faculty at California State University-Northridge.

At 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. the same days, Baxter will present seminars on surround sound for sports broadcasting. Baxter is a multiple Emmy winner and the sound designer for the 2004, 2006, 2008 and upcoming 2010 Olympic Games, as well as the author of “A Practical Guide to Television Sound Engineering.”

The seminars will take place at the Audio-Technica booth, N2121.
