AP to launch latest version of news production system at IBC2004

At IBC, the Associated Press will launch ENPS 4.5 news production system with a variety of new features for international broadcasters. Improved communication tools, automated and locally produced ticker output, and newsgathering options are among the new ENPS 4.5 features.

Key features include:

  • Extended briefing: A dramatic extension in briefing capability, allowing journalists to apply their search across a succession of ENPS servers and third-party systems with the click of a button.
  • My ENPS: A desktop summary page, providing the user with an overview of the day’s fastest moving stories, the most recent urgent wires and quick access to the day’s planning grids and running orders.

The Associated Press will also demonstrate the most recent edition of its remote feed system - SNAPfeed 2.0, which now provides support for ingest functions. See the Associated Press at IBC2004 in stand 7.431.
