Ross Video Now Shipping CrossOver Production Switchers

Iroquois, ON - Canada – November 13, 2008 - Ross Video is now shipping CrossOver, a new series of compact production switchers. CrossOver successfully launched at IBC 2008 targeting mobile or space constrained production environments.

“After a very successful IBC launch, we are shipping CrossOver right on schedule, as promised”, said David Ross, CEO. “CrossOver is a powerful yet compact switcher that offers an impressive feature set all at an affordable price.”

Applications for CrossOver include small studios, edit suites, OB vans, master control branding, and live mixing to on-set monitors and IMag screens. CrossOver also performs exceptionally well as a backup switcher for a large production switcher. The fact that it offers a separate control panel and chassis makes it easy to install in professional environments.

CrossOver comes in 4 configurations. The CrossOver 6 supports 6 Multi-Definition inputs, 2 keyers and has 6 source selection buttons. The CrossOver 12 supports 12 MD inputs, 3 keyers and has 10 source selection buttons as well as a rugged positioner. The CrossOver SD versions offer similar capability to the HD versions. Ross Video also offers an MD upgrade migration path for the SD models.

All models feature an industry standard user interface, UltraChrome chroma keyer, dual animation stores, 2 2D DVEs, 4 up/down converters, a down-converted analog program output, 3 SDI outputs, 3 AUX outputs all packaged into a compact 2 RU chassis.

CrossOver is also available as a component of EditSet.HD, the award-winning high definition linear editing solution put together by Editware, Renegade Labs, and Ross Video.
