PBLSat Builds Business on ScheduALL to Automate Bookings and Scheduling

U.K.-Based Occasional-Use Satellite Provider is Up and Running on Industry-Standard Solution in Only Three Months

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Feb. 27, 2008 -- ScheduALL today announced that PBLSat, a U.K.-based provider of occasional-use satellite services, has built its satellite booking and scheduling operations from the ground up based on the ScheduALL broadcast and operations management system.

PBLSat, which was formed in 2007, after the founders purchased BT Media and Broadcast‘s occasional-use satellite business, turned to ScheduALL to provide a complete booking and scheduling infrastructure for the new company. ScheduALL is used to schedule and manage all of PBLSat‘s technical and personnel resources, including uplink trucks deployed throughout Europe and the U.K., flyaway facilities, in-house satellite capacity, and global fiber connections. ScheduALL enables customers to book satellite capacity 24 hours a day through the PBLSat Space Centre, which establishes necessary uplinks, downlinks, and international fiber connectivity.

“The system is very intuitive, and it gives us great visibility into the equipment and resources that are available at a given moment,” said Paul Claydon, head of market development for PBLSat. “We can be very nimble with last-minute requests, such as clients who need to cover a fast-breaking news story. Whether we‘re putting together a simple fiber link or a more complicated triple hop with multiple truck uplinks, ScheduALL‘s pictoral view of available resources makes it easy.

“ScheduALL is rapidly becoming the standard scheduling and booking solution in our industry, and we were impressed by the number of major broadcasting organizations that are using it,” he added.

With ScheduALL, PBLSat was able to implement the booking and scheduling system in a record three months. “To come from essentially nothing to a fully operational system in three months is phenomenal. Based on my years of experience in the industry, it would normally take at least a year to implement a system of this stature,” said Claydon. “We were scheduling uplink trucks using ScheduALL just a month after purchasing the product.”

“ScheduALL is uniquely qualified to work with companies like PBLSat, who require robust booking and scheduling solutions that enable them to respond quickly and comprehensively to customer requests, and yet are still easy to implement and easy to use,” said Joel Ledlow, CEO of ScheduALL. “The fact that PBLSat turned to us to provide this foundation for its scheduling and booking operations speaks volumes to ScheduALL‘s industry reputation and technical expertise.”
