CLEAR-COM APPOINTS AHMED MAGD ELDIN AS REGIONAL SALES MANAGER FOR MIDDLE EAST, CYPRUS, GREECE AND TURKEY

CAMBRIDGE, UK/ALAMEDA CA, 12 FEBRUARY, 2009 ─ Clear-Com Communication Systems, a Vitec Group brand, announces the appointment of Ahmed Magd Eldin as Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey, reinforcing the company’s already strong footprint in the rapidly growing region. In his new position, Magd Eldin will further drive and develop business relationships with current and prospective Clear-Com distributors and customers in this area.

Based in the Middle East, Magd Eldin joins Clear-Com with more than 12 years of experience in both technical sales and channel management. In his previous positions, which included Regional Sales Manager for Almasa IT Distribution and Silicon21-Dubai and Product Manager for Cisco Systems, he gained solid technical knowledge in large system sales from working with systems integrators and distributors in the Middle East region. As part of this, he developed a deep understanding and respect for the cultural differences of each market.

“The Middle East has never been more forward-thinking or technically advanced than it is today,” says Magd Eldin. “While some parts of the European sector are slowing down due to the current economic climate, the Middle East is still seeing steady and continuous growth. I am proud and excited to be joining Clear-Com.”

“We are delighted to welcome Ahmed Magd Eldin to the Clear-Com team,” says Karlie Miles, Director of EMEA Sales at Clear-Com. “With his strong technical sales and channel management experience in the Middle East, we believe Ahmed will play a key role in supporting our partners and distributors as they secure new businesses and expand our footprint in the Middle East, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey regions.”

Miles continues, “In the past six years our Clear-Com distributors and partners in the Middle East have enjoyed a successful relationship with Phil Atkins, based in the U.K. In order to continue the growth and development of the region and meet our customers’ changing requirements, it was felt that the time is now right to appoint a more local representative. This will allow Phil to concentrate on his other business ventures, with which we wish him every success.”

Magd Eldin received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Ain Shams University of Cairo, Egypt, and is versed in multiple languages, including Arabic, English and French. In his spare time, Magd Eldin enjoys technology (especially computers), reading and travelling.
