Utah Educators Deploy Triveni Digital SkyScraper Distribution System

Triveni Digital Inc. announced that the company's SkyScraper content distribution system for datacasting educational media is now being installed at 13 sites across Utah.

The system will be used to provide educational content to assist with the state's Youth In Custody program. Content will include core curriculum material from the Utah Educational Network, selected PBS programming, programming from Utah's KUED, University of Utah telecourses and essential workplace skills training courses.

"Our mission at UEN is to provide the state of Utah with the best educational services available through technology, and this Triveni Digital SkyScraper installation will allow us to extend our reach to youth in custody, a segment of our population that has been underserved in terms of educational resources," said Laura Hunter, manager at Utah television station KUEN. "With SkyScraper in place, we can provide essential resources for youth in the corrections system. The Triveni Digital solution offers the end-to-end functionality we need in a single well-established and well-integrated solution."

The Youth In Custody program utilizes the services of teachers employed by Utah school districts to provide educational opportunities for some 1,200 youth at the 13 secure facilities.
