Broadcast Pix Hybrid Frame Supports Analog Equipment

Broadcast Pix recently announced the Hybrid Frame, an add-on to the company's new Studio 2000 production system. The Studio 2000 system contains what the company describes as a complete digital TV control room, including a production switcher, character generator, DDR, stillstore and DVE system with 10-bit, 4:2:2 image quality.

The new Hybrid Frame contains interfaces to connect the company's Studio 2000 to analog sources such as cameras, VCRs, character generators and remote feeds. In addition, the Hybrid Frame adds audio support for the Studio 2000's DDR. The Hybrid Frame works with both synchronous and asynchronous sources, has eight inputs and 12 outputs, and can handle composite, component and SDI signals.
