FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has officially issued the roll back of Title II classification of internet access providers.

There will be no reason for TV stations to fret over filing ancillary/supplementary service reports to the FCC Media Bureau shortly after returning from Thanksgiving this year.

The FCC today by a 3-2 vote along party lines authorized broadcasters to begin on a voluntary basis over-the-air transmission of next-generation television based on the ATSC 3.0 standard.

“It’s a simple proposition: the media ownership regulations of 2017 should match the media marketplace of 2017,” said FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.
