Originally launched at IBC2007, the SprintCam Live system offers a combination of up to 8,000 fps and instant replay in SD and HD (720p and 1080i). SprintCam Live’s OCP provides real-time control of image quality settings including gamma, knee, white balance, black balance, etc. At the convention, SprintCam Live will be shown for the first time with a new sensor that increases dynamic range and image quality.
The technology has applications in live sports and other live TV productions as well as commercials, documentaries, feature films and scientific R&D. SprintCam Live can be easily integrated into a mobile broadcast setup and can be used as a standalone solution. The system is comprised of a camera, camera control unit (CCU), an operator control panel (OCP) and a slow-motion remote control.
SprintCam Live will be used at the Beijing Olympics and has been used in other major sports broadcasts and commercials.
