Panamax and Furman appoint Doug Penna as engineering VP

Panamax and Furman Sound have announced that Doug Penna has been appointed as VP of engineering for both companies. In his new role, Penna will be responsible for driving the technology strategy and development of power management solutions from Panamax and Furman.

Before joining Panamax, Penna directed the hardware engineering department of Motorola's Wireline Group, which developed a complete broadband product portfolio of network equipment, linecards and residential gateways for the telecom industry. Complementing his managerial expertise, Penna has more than 10 years of experience creating state-of-the-art products for consumers, corporations and broadcasters.

Penna holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He will be based in Petaluma, CA, and will report to Bill Pollock, president of Panamax and Furman.
