Extension of reply comments on FCC NOI on localism in broadcasting
Reply comment deadline: Jan. 3, 2005
The Media Bureau has announced the extension of the comment period on an FCC Notice of Inquiry into whether the commission should take action to promote localism in TV and radio broadcasts.

Nominations for NCTA 2005 Vanguard Awards deadline
Deadline: Jan. 21, 2005
The National Cable & Telecommunications Association is seeking nominations for its highest honor, the Vanguard Awards. The association presents awards in several categories, including Science and Technology.

Full implementation deadline for ATSC PSIP standard required by A/65
Deadline: Feb. 1, 2005
Established by the FCC in its Second DTV Periodic Review Report and Order, the deadline requires full implementation of the ATSC Program System and Information Protocol, PSIP, standard to the extent that ATSC A/65B requires.
