Crowley and Tripp offers new stereo ribbon mic system

American ribbon microphone maker Crowley and Tripp is unveiling its new Recordist Ensemble Stereo Kit at AES in San Francisco this October. This new model is voiced for realistic reproduction of classical and jazz performances where a full-range, natural sound is desired.

The Recordist Ensemble is a stereo kit designed for those using the Blumlein technique and who need the tracking flexibility not offered by integrated stereo ribbon microphones. The Recordist Ensemble consists of two matched Recordist microphones, an extender bar and two low-diffraction rotary mounts.

Like other Crowley and Tripp ribbon models, The Recordist features a high-output, low-noise design that eliminates the need for special high-gain preamps, making it appropriate for both location recording and digital audio environments. The new Recordist mics feature a stage-ready gunmetal gray finish, a durable Pelican storage case and come with a three-year warranty. Special introductory pricing is being offered.
