The Vitec Group announced Oct. 6 the signing of an agreement to purchase ALC Broadcast Limited, parent company of Broadcast Developments Limited (BDL) and the Autoscript companies, including Autoscript, BDL Autoscript (USA) and Autoscript Hire.
Autoscript designs and manufactures teleprompting systems and recently introduced a voice-activated prompting system.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2006.
