VidTrans 2009 Conference slated for February in Marina del Rey

This year’s VidTrans Conference & Expo, to be held February 10-12 at the Marina Del Rey Marriott, will focus on the latest developments in professional video transport. This includes video distribution over IP, ATM, MPLS and wireless applications. Participants can find all the information they need about a wide range of technologies in a single, convenient location.

As an added bonus, conference attendees can sign up for a tour of DIRECTV’s Los Angeles Broadcast Center.

Conference topics cover a wide range of applications, including video contribution, distribution and delivery to home. Many different networking technologies will be discussed, including JPEG2000, video encapsulation, clock synchronization, as well as IP, ATM, MPLS and wireless applications for video. Topics such as video processing, viewer quality of experience, management concerns such as network operations and channel change times for IPTV, will also be addressed.

Accompanying the conference will be a vendor exhibition, including technology displays from Evertz, Harris, Miranda and TANDBERG TV. The exhibits are open during the first two days of the conference.

The conference is sponsored by the Video Services Forum, an international association composed of service providers, users and manufacturers dedicated to interoperability, quality metrics and education for video networking technologies.
