Consumer electronics manufacturer OPPO Digital has announced the DV-981HD, a DVD player that it says will upconvert SD video to 1080p HD television. The player also upconverts to other output resolutions, including 480p/576p, 720p and 1080i.
The product includes an HDMI output and DCDi by Faroudja video processing technology. It also plays high-resolution audio formats, such as DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD (SACD).
