The NAB and Association for Maximum Service Television (MSTV) have received 12 quotes from electronics manufacturers interested in building an off-air digital-to-analog converter box.
The 12 companies were not identified. David Donovan, MSTV president, did describe the companies as “some of the largest consumer-electronics companies in the world.”
The evaluation process should be completed by Labor Day.
