DVS has sold the CLIPSTER, Pronto2K and DVS-SAN products to The Mill, an award-winning post-production house in the Soho district of London.
The DVS systems will assist The Mill in working primarily on TV commercials. The DVS environment provides editors and VFX artists with instant access to 2K, HD and SD data. CLIPSTER offers operators multi-resolution real-time zoom and pan, conforming, cropping and versioning features. The DVS-SAN system installed at The Mill provides a high bandwidth designed to handle either 4× 2K or six uncompressed HD video streams concurrently. Being a central storage, the attached VFX workstations also have direct access to the data, making tape copying unnecessary.
